coventry ring of death

i didnt notice this last time i was there, as there wasnt much traffic as england had just got kicked out of the cup.

how the hell do you not have loads of crashes on there.

for them that dont know, they got a ring road with all the on off bits sharing the same hole.

see pic on left is the slip roads on right is the road, red is path to go off green is path to come on,
there is also big walls so no one can see who coming on or off :nutter:

i was having this conversation the other day being from brum... coventry ring road is just stupid! say a little prayer to the ringroad god before you enter, in the hope that you will be let off at some exit that is somewhere near where you want to be! give me brum any day!

Yes indeed, Coventry ring road is awful. The on-and-off lanes appear to be separated from the traffic lanes by quite a wide gap, which is no lane at all, just a no-man's-land too.
And to make matters worse, with lanes running over one another the satnav gets very confused too.
And dave, even with an edit, your post is wierd!

Well being from Coventry, I do know the ring road intimitely as I have to travel it everyday, as does nearly everyone else who lives in this great city.

To be honest, it is surprising that there are not more accidents and deaths on the ring road, simply because people do not know the rules of using one. Sadly just a week ago, a 16 year old girl was in a car that crashed, and she died. The other lads (about 17 is yearls od) all survived and are in intensive care. No one knows why or how the accident happened (more than like speeding) as it happened at 4.30am and no other cars about.

This is one of very few deaths on the ring road since it has been built. I think the irony of this safety record lies in its poor design where people are perhaps extra vigilant, generally speaking. Of course you do get the idiots.......

theres rules there no junctions in the UK highway code like them where can i get a cov highway code.

them people i speak of was sitting on table next to us, they was talking about all minging stuff.

Used to travel it quite regularly and never had a problem with it! I think its the same sort of thing with brums spaghetti junction, If you can read a road sign , how the hell can you get lost on it?

LOL! funny that. It only seems to happen when youre on it! You really shouldnt indicate that youre leaving on the next junction then suddenly change your mind!
