Right, I've managed to get a fair run of the Bravo now and have an idea of whats needing done. Couple of engine/electrical gremlins that are bugging me at the moment - I have the 'infamous' airbag light on - anything that can be done to turn it off and leave me with an airbag?

Also, more in the engine department, the rattle appears to come from where the cat meets the mid section of the exhaust - this looks pretty rotten on the cat side, so Im not sure if its just a new bracket or something or a new cat is required. When the car is just started up shes a bit sluggish pulling away, is this just a sign a service (plugs, filters and oil change) are required or is there anything else I can do to sort her? Once shes run in she's fine and pulls with very little effort!

Cheers Guys!

I have an airbag light on too lol. Must be a tipo chassis thing.

A dealer can read and reset the light but if the fault is not fixed it will come straight back on. How many airbags do you have?

Chances are it is an open circuit. Would need the connection cleaning, or hard soldered. then the light can be reset.

Martyn before you start worrying that its something more sinister...give it a service! Change the plugs and leads, oil and filter!

I am almost sure that thats whats causing the performance problem! Does the exhaust sound kinda noisy as well?

As for the airbag light...is it possible to remove that bulb on a Bravo?

The exhaust - has a slight rattle and slightly louder at times but nothing severe!

yeah I'd suggest that new plugs and leads will probably help then!

Sounds like my car like last summer when one of the HT leads had split and I thought I had a hole in my exhaust because of it!

your airbag light could be a blessing in disguise mate so dont worry about it to much as i could mean that previous owner has had to replace the indicator stalks so thats one problem that may have been fixed for you as for removing the bulb it will not work as its an actually soldered into the main PCB if i remember correctly fiat can get rid of it for £30 im sure it is if it annoys you that much

Well, can't fault the work she had done today. Dropped the car off first thing, new return pipe and one that runs across as well - both were, and I quote, 'Pishing fluid' they're both nice n new now, power steering works a treat! Huge imporvement! And the rattle has been confirmed as nothing more than the heatshield...I reckon that tomorrow night the car should be running much much better :)
