if i was to go out and buy a 1.4 block would i be able to put my 1.2 head and other bits on?

if so would this make much differance as i have heard about a corsa 1.4 with a 1.6 block which made it quicker.

also will a 1.4 gearbox fit onto a 1.2 block?

The 1.2 is faster than a 1.4.

And the answer to your question is no as its a different engine altogether. 1.2 is 16V and the 1.4 is 12V. 1.2 has 4 injectors the 1.4 only has 1.

the corsa uses a 1.4 engine bored out to 1.6.

the fiat engine is a different engine.


Stick with the 1.2 and get a re-map...


or... buy a bravo with a bigger engine!!

im actually looking at a fiat brava 1.6 16v and the insurance comes down by £4 a month which confused me

dont worry about i had a hgt in black changed to one in white and ins went up 4 pound a month swapped to another hgt in blue and got 12 pound a month cheaper
