What do you reckon she should do? what do you think it would cost?

its a 96 1.4sx, my old one, but its in good nick had the engine rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago.

Go through insurance as it will cost alot more than that to put it right

I would say that it is easily repairable, many dent wizards can pull the majority of the dent out which will cost £60. New Rear Light £20 from Ebay. Try and T cut the yellow off and if you can live with it being slightly rippled in that area leave it. £220 in your pocket.

Otherwise take it to a bodyshop 4 a quote if you want it perfect.

The woman that reversed into me gave me £600, it cost me £90 to get it sorted out! RESULT!

This cost nearly £1000 to fix in the end, the body shop made mistakes so i sent it back twice!

sorry about photo size, i just wanted to make sure you could see it properly.

t-cut wont do it, the paint has cracked and peeled right through to the metal.

spoke to insurance company, they said get a quote first before offically put a clame in, to see if its less than 300.

Back street garages will sort you out for £300 and thats taking the P!*s! Its not as bad as it looks cos its just on one panel . I would take it to a few garages and see what they say tell them that another place quoted you £200 . I friend of mine almost got conned out of £800 at a ford garage for a scratch made against the wheel arch . Took her to my trusty backstreet garage ( in middx) and £100 later its looking hot again .

Take the 300 cash. its a dent, lol. bit of a bash fro the other side and a can of paint from halfords will sort ya out.

It is incredibly difficult to get good access to that part of the rear wing because I had a go at fixing it myself, and it is surprisingly hard to push back out, I just let the bodyshop sort it!!

If you do it properly through insurance anything that gets touched will be replaced. This includes a new quarter panel, rear light and maybe a rear bumper as it may have been grazed. Hard to tell in the pics. That will come to alot more than £300.

Or if it's not exactly your pride and joy take the money and get it repaired for less, but expect the paintwork to flake after a year or two.

Why would the paint work flake?! Take the money and get it fixed if its done at a proper garage then it wont flake at all !
