Hi before I get flamed forf cross posting, I put this on the wrong list.

I've two new problems with my 2001 marea weekend jtd110
Apart from the airbag warning light being on all the time,

1, the temp guage is showing high, but its also a bit jumpy, I've cleaned all the contacts on the various connectors in the engine area.
the fan cuts in as it should if left idling, and it doesn't appear to be over heating.
Vibration when driving over pots holes will make the meter jump.
I was told many moons ago there are two temp sensors, I know one is down on the side of the engine ( battery side). where is the other, and would a faulty sensor cause these symptoms.

2 After about 30 mins to an hour driving, normally when de-accelerating the ABS warning light (amber) comes on and then the red brake warning light.
restarting the car while on the move resets this, sometimes it will reappear in about half an hour sometimes a few days later.. ideas please

many thanks

Richard

the temp sensors for the gauge and ecu are combined - on the thermostat housing at the back of the engine - but the problem is more likely the cluster. a good thump on the dash restoring it to normal indicates it is. you can dismantle it and check/re-tension the pins on the connectors between the gauge and circuit board or resolder them.
Your ABS issue is most likely a wheel speed sensor. check the sensor tips and the rings are clean, and sensors are mounted correctly. check the sensor connectors (on the turrets and under the rear seat). If that doesent help, get a diagnostic, which will also help you find out the problem with the airbag..
