So I'm looking at replacing the coolant in my car as I'm not sure when antifreeze was last put in it.

Just a few questions I have looked at the guide on how to do it. Do I simply disconnect the pipe on the back of the radiator and turn the 2 bleed valves.

When its empty fill it up with antifreeze once the pipe is connected again then shut the 2 bleed valves.

Any help appreciated

Thanks

Here's a good starting point. I don't open the back bleeder until the coolant has dropped out the bottom of the rad. If you are not flushing obviously you won't need to open the hose at the top.

Ooops. You've got the guide already :)

It may not be straightforward. Best fill the rad to the top of the neck and open the bleeders one at a time and let the coolant run until there are no more bubbly bits coming out. It may take a few tries. Fill it slowly as well.

The Punto is a 100% swine to bleed :(

Try a grande, they have no bleed screws. I had to develop a totally new way of doing it as even following the instruction for bleeding the system wouldn't work
oXRUSSXo Bottom hose off, chuck a couple of litres of antifreeze In, top up with water then follow the instructions for bleeding the system. Just have patience and take your time

Cut and shut a decent bleeder valve into the coolant lines?

probably would be my next best bet tbh.....
Get the level nice and high and it should be better :)
