My wifes 54 reg 1.3 multijet has a very slight coolant loss about a cupfull a week. I have checked the rad all pipework conections and checked the dipstick for mayo to see if its getting into the oil. Just a guess but there apears to be condensation dropletts at the top of the expasion tank could that mean that the pressure cap is not operating as it should.

Yes check the bottle for hairline cracks, especially around the cap area (happens regularly on our freelander and is a known problem) and check the cap.
Check your footwells are dry too, as mine was loosing a cupfull a week before I realised my heater matrix was dripping (located behind heater controls in dash).
