Good Day Guys

I replaced a faulty thermostat today on my sons Punto, then flushed and bled the system, or so I thought, it is still gurgling so there's clearly an airlock in the coolant system. I've searched and followed the bleed both, then rear, then front thing but to no avail.

Can someone guide me on how to get this thing air free and running smoothly as I've never had an issue doing this type of maintenence before but this Punto is on another level!

Cheers.

Get a Big coke bottle and cut the bottom off,

stick this in the Rad and fill the bottle with coolant until full,

open heater bleader and let this force the air out,

empty off the excess coolant by opening the rad bleeder,

thats how ido it anyway...

I have a slight variation on the same method. I fill a 500cc drinks bottle with coolant, fill the rad to the top of the filler neck, upend the bottle on the neck. open the back screw and squeeze hard and long until there is no more sputtering from the back bleeder. The excess in the neck is dropped with the front bleeder.

Thanks for that guys I'll give it a go tomorrow.

No leaks by the way, system intact and no gurgling prior to my intervention, I mean changing the thermostat..............
