It's pretty obvious where to hook the boot cover in the back and sides, but how do you get the front of it (top of seat back) to stay down? Car has two hooked straps, but I can't see where they would go.
If I under stand you correctly, you should be looking to the metal grommets, on the side panels above the rear seat bottom, the rubber straps form the cover stretch on hook there.
There should be two hooks sewn into the boot along the forward edge. These hooks sort of "s" hooks are hooked into holes that should be in the covered side panels left and right beside the rear bench. This keeps the boot part that covers the padded back portion from blowing up in the wind. The Pininfarina models are a bit different but similar.
The straps that you mention are to hold the top in place when it is down. These attach to those same panels with one side coming un-hooked and one permanently attached. Then the straps reach over the folded top to hook onto the chrome hooks along the rear deck and could be under or over the boot. They are seldom used.
