Hi, new joiner, but been lurking for a few years, I have a2006 late x244 SWB van and just got a 2012 X250, a 130 multijet L3 H2. Only use them for leisure purposes, camping, MTB'ing and MX etc.
Anyway, I took the battery cover off the X250 floor today to hoover some crud out and noticed a control box that is to the top RH side of the battery with a wiring plug going to it. Anyone know what this box controls? Only reason I ask is that the wiring to it is being compressed by the plastic flooring / battery cover and appears to go OVER the soundproofing, not underneath it as I would expect. As a result, where the battery cover has been left a bit loose on that top RH corner by previous owner, (ex plant hire service van) it has worn the sheath of the wiring harness down and wires look a bit 2nd hand!

I'm not sure the floor has ever been up or out, so if this wiring should be under the suoundproofing, I suspect it was built incorrectly!

Any ideas, or anyone seen similar? My model is 62 plate, Techno spec with aircon, but no passenger airbag. It is not fitted with the separate metal battery cover under the plastic floor cover, you undo the turnbuckles with a coin and the battery is right there.
I can see the word "Eur" on the control box, but it is partially hidden under the soundproofing.

Any ideas or comments appreciated. It's a lot of work to remove the flooring but if that wiring is getting damaged, I will need to do it.

Cheers for the quick reply. I will tape up the wiring and trim the soundproofing around the battery cover a bit to give more room. Interesting that they dont protect such important wiring more!
