Hi I am new to the forum. I have a 2016 Fiat Ducato 250 - 2.3 van that I have converted into a camper. I am looking at upgrading some features and want to add cruise control. I have checked and the hehicle is wired for it. I have watched several videos regarding fitting and reprogramming the system and am happy with this. My question is do all cruise control stalks work or are they coded to a specific vehicle. I can only find a full set of stalks with the steering housing (3 stalks) and not a stalk by its self. I am happy to buy the full package and then want to remove the cruise stalk and fit it to mine. Any help would be appreciated.

There are (as far as I know) different control stalks. The older versions work (-2014?) on a current and the newer ones on the CAN bus. I bought a stalk for my 2018 model from a 2017 Ducato, and this one worked. just had to connect 3 wires (my van was not wired so had to make the connections myself)
The programming part was a little tricky (I used a German step by step guide for this).

Strange thing I have is that my commands are not right ('cancel' decreases speed and + and - increases the speed:rolleyes: I think perhaps my stalk is faulty, have to make a post for that...)

Thanks. Mine also has the 3 wires on the plug. I will use the programming that Diego Tam used and his was a easy to do.
