Hi!
I've just bought Fiat Croma 2.4jtd and I wonder if someone changed on his Croma standard radio with connect Nav+.

I don't know in every Croma has same connectors and if every Croma has antena with GPS?

thanks for your answers

Welcome to our forum.

I believe that it is simple plug and play procedure. The gps receiver should come as part of the Connect Nav package.

So a straight forward swap over. The hardest part is finding a connect nav in the first place; I've been looking in the UK for over 12 months. Are they any easier to come by in Slovenia - and if so how much are they?

Are you sure that you just have to plug it in and it works.

I've bought it for 200€ (car was crashed but cn+ is still in one peace.
thanks for your anwser.

Now I just have to buy steering wheel for the buttons:)

Unfortunately it's not simple swap and play. I'm not saying it can not be done but it's quite involved. Yes, everything fits the same in place, but Can Bus nav must be properly coded, a gps receiver antenna needs to be purchased and installed, steering wheel with additional buttons that again needs to be installed and can bus coded to the car and some other minor stuff. So much that the guy that wanted to do this here in Serbia gave up. I do have his rather good instructions in Serbian if it will help. 200 eur is a very good price though, I've seen them on Italian and german eBay from 300,350 to 600 eur just for the receiver, and the antenna is anywhere from 30 to 60 eur, steering wheel couple hundred depending on condition. Maybe it will work just swapping it for the nicer screen and MP3 capability without the nav part but you would have to try it.
Finally, I have never been impressed with any factory nav system. The maps are never as good as the latest aftermarket IGO or Garmin stuff. Also having Nav on my phone means it's always with me in any car or pedestrian situation.

Having seen those prices, I'm suddenly not upset about having the rubber sucker / fag lighter socket solution.

Or your could have the halfway house of a nice ProClip mount which attaches cleanly and VERY securely to a vent or into the trim to the side of the climate control knobs. The best part: no screws!

I have my TomTom, phone and MP3 player in ProClip mounts and they look very tidy.
