Technical computer on car electrics

hi guys

I have the latest version of the car electrics program. and the lead with the

'blue ' end.marked 'OBD11'

comes on com 13 so set that ........

put latencey timer to 1

but comes up with access denied to com 13........

running vista on the laptop. there must be a setting somewhere ????

to allow access............

any ideas????

Is that the www.fiatecuscan.net program ?

Confirm which port the cable is using with Device Manager.
How to open the device manager:
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windowsvista/f/opendmvista.htm

Set the fiatecuscan to that port and try connecting.

What kind of cable are you using ? (USB, serial, bluetooth, etc.)

hi,
I have the usb cable with the blue end.....as shown in the how to guide.......... it is on com 13 and set to that in the program.............and set the latancey timer to 1.....
mine is a 06 nosejob and appears to be 'no plug' under bonnet........... I found one under steering wheel in dashboard............
tried all the jtd options including the 'van' ones
but says access denied to com 13, check lead etc.

You can try to select another Port for the cable

hi tried again after wiggling the plug in socket for a while. got in................ mine uses 02 jtd
but to reset anything It says 'I have to buy the program' .....not available on the free one...........

hi guys,
well I have just rest my flashing oil light............ I used the 1.6 program .....had to use the '02 jtd' choice for my 06 nose job. but all seems well now.
the new version wants you to pay to do this but the 1.6 does it free
