General Computer/LED panel mode

Is there any way to start the car with the little computer display panel defaulting to the last chosen option?

The beast always reverts to Date/Time when I turn off the ignition... but sometimes I'm in the mood for Average Consumption, say..

nah, the epromm doesnt hold it as a setting that i know of. You'll just have to live with needing to press the button when you start the car mate lol

Fairly sure even the colour screens behave in this way too!
