Whats the best component speakers for the bravo front doors, also, owning the 1.4 there is no tweeters in the dash, will they plug staight in to the wiring that is already there?
Cheers
Stu

depends on your budget mate but a good set of 13cm components will come with a cross over box, then you can run your tweeter to that.

i also have the 1.4 and my front components set me back 220euros but they sound the dogs ********, at the end of the day it depends on your budget.

Re: Re: Component speakers

Yup, all component systems will come with a crossover & cable and you will have to run extra wiring. The existing wiring is poo to say the least.

Why spend 100+ on them and then reuse the fiat wiring is a bit of a waste.

Re: Re: Re: Component speakers

Y is the existing wiring poo, its no smaller than the wires comeing out of the back of your head unit, a circut is only as good as the weakest point!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Component speakers

well, im not looking to spend much more than hundred squids, have been putting the job off, because i got a sub and hence the 6 x 9' . The sound is shite, i really need a fix. I haven't even amped my 6 x9's up off the 4 channel amp. Im a lazy sod.
I think, if i get the components in the front i will amp those up and leave the rears going off the head unit?
What do you think?
Thanks for the help
Stu

Hi,

If you are going to pay £100 for some componants, i would start by looking on ebay. You might be able to find a real bargin of some great comps that might cost twice or more new.

You say a 4 channel amp?? Then you can power 4 speakers from it, so you can power your 6x9s and the front componants.

Bin the 6x9's if you have a sub. :)

Bridge 2 of the channels for the sub and the other 2 run the fronts.

£100 will get you some reasonable components.

The infinity 5000cs or 6500cs from

An extra £20 pr £30 gets you some Focal Access components from:

Personally, Phase Linears or Infinity. The focals are NICE but can be a bit harsh to some ears.

13cm will fit easily with shop bought adapters, the 16.5cm will fit but with some MDF cutting and a little metal bending.
