Thanks to all you who replied to my original compensation thread.....
After all the earbashing I got
, I decided to ask for nothing apart from the money back for the insurance for the courtesy car.
Well, I didn't even do that in the end because at lunchtime today Fiat Customer Services called.
They were very polite and absolutely first class and asked me about the service i had received from the dealership. At the end of the day the dealership pulled up their socks and became very polite, so they have actually redeemed themselves in my eyes.
And what about the insurance....
Well the great chap at Fiat said "We are so sorry you were so inconvenienced that we are going to send you some Fiat vouchers that you can use for whatever you want including servicing.
And we all those who had their cars delayed by the 1.3MJT headgasket problem know the value of those vouchers.
WELL DONE FIAT
