Technical Comformatic new problem Camper van stuck

Hi Having big problem with my (new to me) Campervan 2010 Ducato 3l Multijet 160 with Comfortmatic gear box 40000mls was working fine until yesterday when i had to move it went from Forward to reverse - a slight clunk then forward again to parke, when it returned 6 hours laters it would start but the no gears available warning came up. I have a VGate Icarpro 2S OBD2 - whats the best softward to use on an iphone, and any other ideas what the problem could be. Its stuck in the road and vunerable!
The radio drains the battery and voltage was at 12.6v. Havent checked fluid levels that next. Any other ideas please?

Can the van be towed, i seems to be stuck in neutral??

If it is in neutral then yes it can be towed.

Comfortmatic is a manual gearbox and normal clutch operated by a "robot"

So if in neutral can be towed/moved as a normal manual.

Do not use the wrong fluids in the wrong containers as doing so can result in needing a complete system

If you haven't had long and bought from a dealer the dealer is responsible for repair or refund.

If you bought private sale start putting money aside now.

Probably the best software able to communicate with the comfortmatic ecu is multi ecu scan

Multiecuscan is a good diagnostic tool and has a version for iOS also. I dont know if it can connect to the interface you have

Thank your for your very swift responses and i appreciate being a member of this forum. The van and gearbox have been running well for the last year its now due for a service this month having supposed to have been serviced by the dealer before purchase. Your feed back confirms my suspicions and worries. I now have to find a fiat gear box specialist in the Bristol /Weston S Mare area as the garage who serviced my 1994 camper for 24 year can't'womt touch it and the specialist they suggested won't touch it either.

Guidance on who to approach wouldbe appreciated, Bristol Transmissions suggested Johnsons Fiat!

One course of action would be get multi ecu scan software and adapter running.
Use it to find any fault codes in the transmission ecu ....there are people on here who can help you how to interpret what is going on.

There is member who had a load of problems caused predominantly by dirty electrical connectors on the transmission wiring harness.

Other people have had problems with the clutch speed signal not showing zero when clutch depressed- plastic parts in clutch plate breaking can be the cause-fix being a new clutch

Finding out what wrong first as much as is possible is key

Lots of fiat dealers have a bad reputation with comfortmatic in that they want to replace everything at huge expense as a first step.
