Hello, new to the site (although I've viewed it many times and found it very useful). My wife has a 2008 YeYe green 500. I recently repaired a few scuffs and the colour match is very disappointing. The colour code under the bonnet states Verde libero code 309, but this colour turned out to be darker than the original. When she bought the car the colour was stated to be YeYe green. Could the colour code be wrong? Does anyone have experience of YeYe green?

Check the code on the boot lid when open on the left side viewed from the side? Paint does change over time too, we recently had a new rear bumper the body shop paint match is perfect(silver) our car is a 59 plate so either the paint is not the correct one, mixed wrong, or the car has change color over time? try removing a rear light cluster and see what the match there is as it should be original/unchanged?

Thank you for the replies. I tested a hidden area where the colour shouldn't have faded and the match is still very poor. I suspect that the paint I bought is not a true mix.

Most likely faded paint.
I have a burnt orange colour 500 (not sure what Italian is for 'Diarrhoea Brown') and the paint under the chequered stripes was darker than the paint exposed to the elements.
