Colour Coded Bumper Insurance

I have a MK1 punto with plastic bumpers, if i wanted these to be colour coded, would i have to inform my insurance company or the DVLA?

not the DVLA but your insurer yes.though i doubt it will make a difference

Do you reckon it will bump up my insurance (sorry for the pun) seeing as i am still on a provisional license?

as custard said doubt it but depends on insurer.

It's unlikely to increase your premium, unless you're adding a body kit. Some insurers however may argue that it a)increases the value of your vehicle, or b) constitutes an aesthetic modification as if it were a body kit and may charge you extra.

Hi mate, i had mine sprayed black, my insurance company (Elephant), didnt care, there interested in more of the power mods, to increase your premium.
