Technical Coils Problem

Trouble with stilo again.. All of a sudden the engine failure came up on display.. and there is jerk felt frequently.. Also feeling like it lost power while accelerating etc.. there is a constant jerk/vibration.. Took it to thames fiat in slough.. they are saying coils need replacement and would cost around 400..I am really pissed off with this stilo.. any suggesions whats the best to do..
this is really easy to sort out you dont have to replace all 4 at once. Take the black plastic cover off the top of the engine 4 10 mm nuts once the cover is off you will see the 4 ignition coils. Gently loosen the wires that go to the coils & 1 by 1 disconect them when the engine just abouts cuts out that is the coil that is faulty you can get a coil for £25.

The other way around, when nothing happens to the tickover-that's the faulty onel:)
Might always be a bad plug of course so it's well worth swopping over two coils to see if the fault shifts with it
