My friend is beginning to feel the strain of running a car as a Coil pack in her Seicento went last night. It resulted in calling out the RAC and getting them to diagnose the problem. Luckily I had a spare coil pack out of a 999cc Panda, but that was 40 miles away. 2 hours and 80 miles later, we had the siad replacement fitted to the car, and hay presto, it went.
She got going noly for me to recieve a call from her saying it's happened again (car conking out when upto rev's and ECU light coming on.). So we drive up to her, I manage to get it going and give it a bit of a thrashing. We then do a 4 mile trip and it dosen't conk out again. So I leave her to continue her 20 min journey home.
At this point I finally make it to be at about 0230hrs this morning! lol. Don't you just love motoring
.
Anyways, her Seicento is a 1108cc, should a coil pack from a 999cc FIRE engine be ok? I think it conked out a little because the ECU was learning?
Many thanks. Jon.
