COIL on 1.8LX

I've jut had one of my coils go down! Has anyone else got a 1.8HLX, and can you tell me if you have standard plug leads or the ones with a seperate coil on each one. I asked Fiat for a price for one and they quoted £80,Surely that cant be right?? That means 320 for the all four!! Anybody else have a similar proble?

They are all coil on plug. The price is about right unfortunately.

Best bet would be a breaker.

Yep, i got quoted £76 each, but i had 5 on my HGT...lol circa £400!

Luckily i got a set from a breaker who didnt know what they cost from a HGT that had only done 18k miles for £5

yep about right I have had 2coils go on my 1.8 but now th bloody engine has blown so I have 4coils avail ifyou r interested e-mail me se my prev post for e-mail addy. cheers Danny

My brother benito rode his HLX 'Max' into a lamp post at the wknd (eedyot) so prob a write off but damage likely to be minimal (you know what insurers are like). Will keep you guys updated (there will be some tasty custom accessories up for grabs too most likely )

what is it with u 2 Nico, first u and now Benito.....

sayin that if he does break it keep me in mind for the front and rear bumpers and side skirts if they are in good order. oh and the tailgate aswell!!! sorry to jump in a warm grave and all, but cant miss the oppertunity

I only clipped a Kerb.
Benito went head long into a lamp post!
So doubt the front will be in tact, but I'll keep you in mind for the skirts and rear etc.
His excuse was he sneezed and lost control!!

you may have only klipped a kurb, but it seems a fair amount of damage was done...!!

sneezed and lost control, thats preety damn funny actually. shame about the car though, and hope hes alright.

if you could keep me top of the list for those bits i would be hugely gratefull.
