Technical Coil Equivalency?

Is there a good source for an ignition coil for 1969 Fiat 500 in the US?
Does it have to be an OEM or are there good after-market choices?
Shipping parts from the UK is killing me!

I would think any coil, designed for 12v negative earth and to run without a ballast resistor, would ultimately be fine.

If you can see some on the shelf to look for one of a similar size and that uses the same style of plug lead that will make life easy, but it's a very generic item really.

Look on the "Mr Fiat" web-site. Part number:--EL-500-010. Being that they are in Atlanta (that's on your side of "the big pond") shipping costs shouldn't be too exorbidant.
