Hi
Does anybody know how you code a new set of keys after changing the ecu and code box
(both are new and never been used).
I have both the red key and 2 new blue keys but am unable to get it to recognise any key ,the engine starts but the key code light stays on.

yes ,both were unused and so was the lock set. I was told it was red key first, let the light go out, and then repeat with the blue keys ,then close with the red .Is this correct?

I think you have an ecu which suits a car with no immobiliser. consequently the the ecu is not asking the immo to do a key check, thus leaving the code light on.

The code box and ecu are direct replacements (ie same part numbers) for the old one,the car starts and runs but will not let me code the new keys and lock set.

I know what your saying ming but I took a coded ecu off and replaced it with a brand new ecu with the same part number, so must be coded, just carnt get the keys to code.

Yes everything is normal apart from the keys ar'nt coded, and the code light flashes. I know its nothing to worry about but I just want to get it all back as it should be.

No can do Fingers its a "virgin" ecu, ie never been used, so even if I had the old red key it wont work .
I have a new red key and 2 blue keys but car'nt get it to code any of the keys .Its not really a big problem having the light flashing but its frustrating knowing that it should go out.

Have a look in the red key, does it have a transponder in it?. If not take one from one of your old keys and put in it. That then will be the master.
