HI,

IVE JUST STARTED TO GET A PROBLEM WITH MY CAR.
IVE HAD A LOOK ALL OVER THE NET TO TRY AND FIND OUT WHAT IT MEANS?

WHEN I TURN MY IGNITION ON THE CODE LIGHT COMES ON AND SHOULD GO OFF. IT DOESN'T ALWAY DO THIS. SOME TIME IS FINE BUT LATERY ITS BEEN A PAIN. :bang:
I WILL TURN IT ON A WAIT INTILL IT GOES OUT BUT WHEN I DOESN'T THEN I'LL TURN IT OFF AND START AGAIN.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Does the car start even though the code light has gone on or does it stop the car from starting?

when the light is on it wont start at all but it only does it when i try and start it not when im driving. im using the blue key??

Hi there,

It'll probably be related to the ecu and the reading of the key. Better taking it to a garage for a diagnostic check, in case there are any faults. If it turns out you need a new ecu go to ebay as Fiat will quote silly money!

Hi cheekycento21,
maybe I can help you. If you can prove to me that you are the genuine owner of the car (by mailing or faxing me your owners documents). I can disable the keycode inside the ecu for you and you won't be bothered again by the codelight and the engine not starting. Another option is to exchange your engine controle unit with a code-disabled one. Also this I can provide.

A Mckrich chip cost 40 quid, gets rid of all code problems, cept the light will always be on, its just totally deactivated.
