Got one of these.

When hooked up to laptop and car, it says I need ELM 327. Multiecuscan on lappie- free version. What else do I need to be able to read all fiat codes, please.??
Anybody bought a good one of whatever I need??
A pic of what I need would be handy, so I can get the right gear first time.
Thanks

if you have the kkl lead you just need download the free multieuscan and should be able to read the codes from ECU if you want to read airbag codes you will need aset of adapter leads

If you are patient..!! :)

I'm having a go at all this myself..NOT PC expert..:bang:

bought ELM + coloured leads = intermittent,
got a KKL on Jons recommendation.., got Airbag info ONCE with just the KKL..!!

BUT easier if you have the RED leads too,:D

it's actually a VERY well structured set-up MES..:worship: just all a bit new for me ..still finding my way around it,

set of good leads = £40 .
MES = FREE,

VS

1 code reading at garage £40 (+)

it'll soon pay for itself..!! :D

Hi Jon,
As soon as I plug in lead to socket then laptop, look for Delphi steering, it just comes up with " you need ELM 327 interface".
The bit I don't want is to spend unnecessary dosh on cables, especially when I don't know the correct ones to buy.
I know the free multiecuscan only does a little bit in relation to code reading, you have to get the registered version if you want to go further.
I have read some adverts on ebay that a good few of the elm interfaces are not wired correctly--no prizes to guess which one I would be saddled with, lol.
I was after a set of leads that someone has bought and found to do the jobs required- a recommendation.
Thanks.
