General CN+ 2009 Maps

Hi,
Just wondered if there was anyone left out there who still used their CN+?

Unfortunatley the site's in Polish (i think) and the majority of the links towards the top of the page are dead but if you scroll to the bottom there are a few that are alive. I cant download these at work so I wondered if any of you would be up for trying them to see if they are GB or maybe even the whole Europe set.

Failing that is there anyone of you who'd be up for chipping in to get some new discs? One person could get the discs and make backups and pass them on to others, strictly for safe keeping! See below.

The 2008/2009 map is as good as it gets for Connect Nav units. The 2009/2010 map isn't out yet.

The info on it was alright if it didnt take so long, sticking so I just use 2002 original at least it goes straight to where I want to be

A forum member used to host them on a private server. He closed the server a while ago. I'm not sure if it will ever be back up again.

Maps i've downloaded from here have worked fine - maybe it was the media you used - needs to be a branded CD and ideally burnt at around x4

The difference between a 2008 map and a 2009 map will more than likely be a handful of new roads. Navteq will only update the roads required not the whole map - I wouldn't be in a rush to have the latest version just for the sake of it - the 2007/08 maps are available from the forum ftp.

I've had a rapidshare account for 3 yrs now and I'd be happy to upload it onto there and pm you the link (if you like). This way you could wait until people donated and then pm them the link. All they'd have to do is click on the link, download and then burn it to a CD. You could even knock up a "read me" paragraph with burn instructions and bundle it with the ISO.

I've also got a RapidShare account but the forum ftp site was private and controlled by a mod on the forum.

Map was fine, it was your end - if I recall, you were on AOL, and therefore had issues getting access to FTP, but resolved eventually.

The map has been burnt many times, so I presume it was media / burner issues.

Yes, I gave up with it. Certain people here didn't appreciate it, or me doing it, so instead I now use my server space for something more worthy.

If all the files are freely available, then all is good

I cant wait for these maps! Maybe I'm expecting to much here but will the Nav+ maps also have speed and traffic cameras on them??

Also, my Nav+ switches off after about 30mins. If you guys are saying that some CD's take quite a bit of time to load will I have to start from scratch with entering my destination every time it switches off?

Hah, no chance... They are useless!

Any standalone SatNav will walk all over them for extra features

Christ, that bad!!! I still haven't got my map CD, think it got lost in the post and I've just heard that dogspods sold the master along with his car....

Is there anyone else who can help or even stick it up on rapidshare or megaupload???

It's seems like no matter what I do I cant get hold of this CD! lol

...what were you expecting??

The CN+ isn't as good as the latest stand alone satnavs, but I never had any problem with mine, it just did what I expected it to do, ie get me to where ever i need to go with the least amount of fuss.

If you want safety camera detection, speed camera locations etc, go buy a TomTom
