General  Clutch Recommendations

Tyre looks fine but always worth keeping your pressures right. Is the car parked on a flat surface in that pic? I've seen in your other pics it's sometimes half up on a kerb. Doing that puts a bit more load on the tyres on the lower side.
Yes the car is parked on and half off a kerb as I don't have a driveway for the car. Is it best to always try and park the car flat elsewhere?

So what pressures you recommending. I literally have myself, and 2 children in the morning on a quick school run, then just me coming home from work.

Size is 175/65/14: 82.

The engine is pulling 32kPs at idle,.as seen by the MAP sensor yet the intake is filling with blowby gasses and the oil is condensing in to the intake manifold, there's a leak or blockage between the valve cover and the intake manifold, or at least there was, who knows now

Whether the shaking is the engine or the air box, who knows

Both bolts are visible in photo but I can't see the rear
Stand off or grommet in any photo

What we do know is it's not correct

Yes including the metal insert £11 each

Without the inset just the rubber £5 for X4

Hang fire let not just blast part at the problem

Is the rear stand off and grommet present

Punch a hole in some card and pack it out until it nips up,.see if the problem disapears
Can you point out where to buy these parts for me please?

The basis of that earlier message was that, although those parts *can* be bought, you don’t need to.

The other ‘message’ in that message was a suggestion to ‘stop buying and fitting parts at random, as now no one knows what did, and what did not help’. None of those airbox parts need changing, and very likely some of the parts already fitted didn’t need changing either.

The information from CarVertical didn’t tell us anything useful. The car could still have been sold by a previous owner because they were having issues. Places like WeBuyAnyCar will take ‘anything’ - even one that’s not working. These are bought cheaply at auction by dealers who ‘make them good enough to resell’… fixing just enough to make them seem ok. I’m not saying your car is definitely like this… but I do worry that it might be.

@Adam1984 I know you’ll be getting fed up with me repeatedly saying this, but find a good, small vehicle repair workshop — they don’t have to be a Fiat specialist — and have them give the car a good, full check up. The 1.2 Panda engine was used in other cars too: the Vauxhall Corsa and Ford Ka, for example. And (no disrespect) but it’s a very ‘simple’ engine and there’s nothing about it that needs Fiat knowledge. (If it were the unique Fiat TwinAir I would say something different). You’ve made the first step and had KwikFit tell you the exhaust is ok. I think we can leave that now. That Small Car garage that the person who set up the whole Fiat Forum has recommended must be worth a try.

So more white smoke from the exhaust this morning. This is after the car has been for a 45 minute run, then left the engine running and this was at idle... And air filter housing still rocking.

Also coolant level was perfect. No drop there. So can't be a head gasket blown.

I did some other readings, oxygen sensors and tps graphs.

See attached.

@Adam1984 Seeing normal white exhaust on a cold winter’s day is not a problem. Even if the engine’s warm, the air outside is still very cold. Just like when you breathe out and see your breath as ‘steam’. It’s perfectly normal. And usefully confirms the exhaust is all working fine too, since it’s coming out in the right place.

How’s the oil level look?

Think of you car like a person; you think it’s poorly, there are some mixed symptoms and you’ve tried the basics. Now, it needs to go to the doctor if only to be reassured there’s nothing wrong :)

If it’s running fine with no EML and not using any water then just drive it. I fear once again you’re looking for problems that aren’t actually there. If/when it leaves you stranded on the side of the road then persue the issue concerned. The way it’s going you’ll have a totally new car barring the shell and still be finding problems 🤷

Use car scanner

Graph

pre cat signal
Post cat signal
Long term fuel trims
Short term fuel trims

Hot engine

After 30 seconds of idle

Raise the revs to around 2500

After it's settled for approximately 30 seconds

Adam's scanner software (MES) doesn't show the Pre cat sensor signal, for some weird reason.
Also, MES doesn't do the Long term and Short term fuel trims either from what I know.

But from what he put above those look ok. Pre cat diagnosis fluctuates between Rich and Lean - that's perfectly normal and Post cat integrator stays 'nailed' at 1.00000 - perfectly normal, again.

A lucky chap you are. Up here it's illegal with fines for parking on a pavement, even just half a tyre width!
