I am new on this forum but do have the following problem with the clutch.
I am located in the Netherlands.

Motor 94 kW
Hymer B674 20-6-2006

Automatic transmission fault Fiat Ducato

We have a Hymer B674, year of manufacture 2006, with a Fiat Ducato engine and an automatic transmission.
Occasionally, we receive a transmission fault message; the result is that the gear does not shift.
You then have to park the vehicle on the side of the road, switch off the engine, and wait until the engine fan switches off.
If the engine is subsequently started again, the fault disappears and can stay away for weeks.
The previous owner already had this checked by a garage.
The problem was supposedly in the immobilizer.

Unfortunately, the fault returned after this; this time it was the ignition switch that needed to be replaced, with the same result.
Advice: flush the transmission.
None of that helped.
Now a variation on this fault.
The car was making short beeps and wouldn't shift gears anymore. I pulled over and the gear lever wouldn't go into Park.
I left the engine off for a few minutes and everything seemed normal again, until 50 km later it was back again.
I did the same thing and then drove 80 km back home.
The AI indicates that this might be the hydraulic oil for shifting, specifically Selespeed oil.
Can someone help me out before I spend a lot of money getting all sorts of things done that won't help?

P.S. I learned from another Fiat Ducato forum that 50% of this problem is related to a broken clutch plate.

Thanks in advance

Personally I steer clear of any modern electronic controlled automatics, however I note there is a section on Fiat Forum dedicated to Selespeed issues which may give some guide for you.:) If you go to "search at top of page and type in Selespeed there is quite a lot.:(

No one will be able to fix your problems remotely from description of fault.

You will have to take vehicle to an expert with selespeed system who has computer capability to interrogate the selespeed ecu.

I expect previous owner sold because of problems and knew it was going to be very expensive to fix.

It definitely is was not an immobilizer problem.

Let us know how you resolve problems.

If bought from vehicle dealer return it for a refund.

Do not buy another selespeed.

Good luck
