Hello. I see that this is a common problem but I want to get some definitive advice. Problem is: Gear change is very tough. If you pump the clutch, it helps. No leaks around the clutch system. Fluid is full. The fork is releasing fully from what I can see. The pedal is only returning 3/4, just a little stiff at the top. Will bleeding the system help? Or have I over looked something here?

I have zero ideas, sounds fairly screwed. Just replaced the entire clutch system on mine. . .£310! Ouch.

It's either the clutch slave cylinder (on top of the gearbox) or the clutch itself.

If you lift the rubber cap/bellows on the slave cylinder where the rod comes out, it should be dry under there. If you can see fluid weeping out then the slave cylinder needs changing.

It sounds more likely that it's your clutch plate fingers worn out, which are part of the clutch plate.

When you get the clutch changed, get them to do the slave cylinder at the same time.. it's only a few extra quids but then you won't have to change it again for a very long time.
