hi all
need urgent help...my clutch peddle suddenly went to the floor so i put my foot under to get it back up now i cant even push the peddle at all
any help would be great
thanks in advance

Hi, can't suggest anything ATM (except is it a plastic pedal moulding which has failed?) but diagnosis will be dependant on whether it is cable or hydraulic or whether it is internal or external slave cylinder so you will need to post up what model and year you have.

I think the changeover to hydraulic operation was about 1995 but not sure when the slave cylinder disappeared inside the bell housing (2002?)

hi
thanks for the reply
its a 2006..2 .3 van .going to have a look in a bit just got up
gonna tow it back then have a look ....will post the outcome
thanks in advance

Could be clutch failure, concentric slave cylinder failed
Has it had a clutch recently? Or how long since,

Point of note, if replacing clutch "kit" you only get cover and plate

Slave cylinder is concentric and contains release bearing

My advice was based on an X250 06 onwards build van

hi all
just a quick look and it looks like clutch ...van has stopped at local shop about 500 yards away trying to get it home now...there is a cylender on the top of the gear box and the pushrod is at its full extension by the look of it and there is slap/play in release bearing arm....so i think the clutch has failed....
before i start stripping it down is there any info on best routine for gearbox removal
thanks in advance

hi all
myself and a friend got the van back...my friend managed to drive it back...on inspection there too much play in the clutch fork/arm and the pushrod in the slave cylender was almost out of its rubber gaitor...
the van drove back ok (using right revs and changing gear) question is..is the clutch done or because there is so much play in the fork that it is the release bearing...this is my only mode of transport so have has to be done asap
is there any info on gearbox/linkage etc.,etc...the right way to do this
thanks in advance
