After two years of ownership I took the decision to replace my clutch while the weather was still good.
The problems I had leading up to this was a low biting point about an inch off the floor, crunching when selecting reverse, clutch fading in hot weather. These faults have always been there since I purchased the Fugly.
I had ruled out the master and slave cylinder by removing the battery and cover to expose the slave, and then to get the other half to push the pedal down to see what travel the hydraulics was pushing out. They looked OK to me.
It wasn't really that difficult doing the clutch as I have experience over the years with several clutches on cars and the multipla gives you plenty of space to work (except getting the starter motor bolts out). I found a guide on this forum which does give a great guide and found this very helpful.
I can say with a smile from ear to ear that the clutch I replaced at a cost of eighty quid is working a treat, I now have plenty of travel in the pedal and no crunching in reverse and gear selection is a dream. Well worth the effort.
