Don't think so. But here's the main part of the listing. Seller says pedal goes down but doesn't come back up.

You can't go far wrong at £275... :D

But "clutch cable" and "1.4" aren't completely compatible; the 1.4 has a hydraulic system.

The good news is that a clutch pedal "not coming back up" on a hydraulic system is 90% the slave cylinder. It would be something a bit more severe if the clutch was cable operated.

Even better news is that the cylinder sits on top of the gearbox (external) so it's theoretically simple to replace it.

The beast has 83,000 "kms" which is interesting. If it's a town car then the clutch could need replacing soon anyway.. but 1.4 parts must cost 2 shillings and sixpence... and the gearbox probably weighs less than a bag of sugar (coming from a JTD, anyway). Not a lot that would put me off on the face of it...

I would say he's extremely fortunate, had it been say a 1.8 with the internal slave he'd be looking at lot more expense than what it cost him to start with

If it turns out to be a bad investment, you would only lose little money. Also if you can fix it by yourself and change timing belt and so on. It may have more issues like burnt hg, worn engine... But... If not, you got yourself a good deal.
