Having removed my gearbox to fix a seperate problem, i have inspected the wear to the clutch. It isn't worn out but will need changing fairly soon.
I have called Fiat and checked on eper and a few websites but have had no luck. I have been looking to buy just the friction plate, since mine isn't so worn as to expose the rivets and cause damage to the fingers.
Has anyone just replaced his or have any serious objections to me doing this?
Also as far as Fiat Stilo clutch kits go (since this seems to be what i'll need to buy, including the bearing) any advice? Euro car parts list two 3 piece clutch kits for my car (2004 1.6 active sport), one by transmech at £60, and one my valeo £80 both inc vat.
Fiat want £133 + vat, and all parts i can get for £100 inc vat, but again is a make i'm not familiar with.
I also need to purchase a cam belt kit, so if anyone knows a suitable company/website that would be great also.
