General Clutch cable replacement - how? Urgent help please

£84 quid? Was the mechanic wearing a mask?

Cento clutch cables usually die because the clutch is on its way out.
...and a hooped jersey carrying a bag marked "SWAG".

I take it this is excessive for a run o' the mill cable change? The part was only £15-ish, so labour on top of that and I'm a happy camper!

To make life slightly more tedious, a day later I can't get any gears!

When I pulled away from the garage things seemed a little "stiff" and different, but I put that down to the new part. The missus limped it home earlier complaining that she couldn't get first or second.

With the engine off the box works nice and smooth as before, but fired up I can only get third (at a push!).

Suggestions anyone? :bang:
