Hello,

I’ve notice a clunking on our TA 4x4 cross, when manoeuvring at slow speeds ie pulling off, turning into forwards and backwards parking spaces.

Sometimes it sounds front suspension, but then it will clunk again seemingly closer to under me.

I found an old thread on here possibly putting it down bushes, and that fiat warranty up 100k miles ???

I phone our nearest dealer and they are over an hour away and want to diagnose it, but if it’s going to cost, it would be far more convenient to take to my local trusted independent.

Anyone know what this might be, and what I’m looking at costs wise.

Tia!

Shouldn’t be anything at that mileage but most likely culprit given your description is the wishbone(s). The bushes become loose and the whole arm needs changing. Doesn’t sound like drop links either. An inspection is needed but shouldn’t be too difficult to diagnose. There won’t be any warranty left on any of those parts so I would take it to your indie for them to have a look.

Thank you, good advice, will do as you suggest.
