Technical Clunk from where CV's enter gearbox. 2020 9 speed gearbox

We had a loud CLUNK from the driveshaft whilst in lowspeed acceleration through roadworks two weeks ago.
We jacked up the front and both wheels clunk when rocked back and forth before spinning freely.. only 8,000 kilometers. Booked into service agent 9 January however its a 75k trip and I am not sure whether it is wise to drive it?
Any advice appreciated also as to whether anyone else has had this problem.

Well, turns out that all was well andcthe van is fine.. a bit weird though
