cluch problem

hiya all,
have a big problem with my hgt. my girlfriend was driving to work yesterday. big traffic. start stop all the time. wanted to put first again and the cluch went. cant put any gear on now and the cluch pedal its just hanging. theres no presure on it at all. any ideas what wrong with it and how expensive its going to be??

sounds like you lost fluid, maybe the slave cylinder.

Check the oil level in the brake oil reservoir, look for oil leaks under the battery tray. If there is oil, your slave cylinder is shot.

had to top it up once this month because it was nearly empty. i know there is a leak somewhere but there is no oil under the battery tray. i found a bit of oil inside the car where cluch pedal is. any idea??

Master cylinder is shot then, but needs further inspection on the slave cylinder.
Number 1 is the master cyl and number 9 the slave cyl.

when i get some cash i will take it to the garage. how much its going to be for master cyl and how much for slave cyl???

Due to me not being in UK, I cant say for the master, but the slave was around 16 - 20 quid.

If I was you I would go for a scrappy master cylinder Or maybe you can buy a repair kit

Should cost around £50 for the master cylinder, Try a motor factors, will be cheaper
