Close call!

Eek.

Just been pulled over by the cops right by Dover docks half hour ago (2am).

Passenger cop gets out and asks me to turn engine off and wait for driver cop. Driver cop comes over and asks me what speed I think it is on the dual carriageway, I say 40mph (which is correct down by the docks). "and what speed were you doing?" "40".... and he then came back with "yes, well 40 and a bit from the looks of it". Then passenger cop says "yes, its there" (or similar).

Was then told to slow my driving down - even tho I wasn't actually speeding. What prolly caught their attention was my accelerating upto 40mph from 0 at the traffic lights.

They gave the car a quick looking over too (not inside just exterior).

just traffic cops bored on the shitty night shift - nothing better to do - they knew you weren't speeding but just cos you sped up they thought they'd pull you.

and looking round the car - they we're obviously just admiring the curves of the bravo!

was it real cops or the gestapo? Never been stopped by the real cops, but when i've been pulled by the gestapo, i get EVERYTHING c heck, tyres, bulbs, tax, mot, insurance. You name it, and they're checking it!
