Most likely one of two things
1) battery is on its way out. Clock will reset due to voltage drop when cranking
2) high resistance in starter motor or (not as common) earth strap, voltage will drop while cranking

We were having this discussion last week at work for the same reasons, used to be a common thing when we saw more of the early pandas. Had one in for work which did the same thing, battery checked out fine and owner said it didn't bother them so we didn't chase it any further

Hi thanks for the reply the Battery is ok had it checked it looks like one of those things you need to ignore just the curiosity that made me ask thought there might be a way you can store it after setting the clock.

do keep an eye on the trip..if it's resetting too.

the the fault is not "clock-related";)

Hi have not noticed if the trip is resetting will have a look this is not my car it is my daughters first car she is working on the cruise liners at the mo so checking things out.

front should go down completely..but the left and right front MAY move in unison..or 1 in "steps".. can't remeber,
REARS probably go 2/3 down due to shape of door ( over wheelarch)

they are good cars..but reliant on a good battery/ charging system;)

Re: Window

Hi fixed the window there was a polystyrene block stopping it going down don't know what the block is for think i put back where it belongs probably an anti rattle device who knows anyway windows working thanks for your help.
