Technical Clicking noise on tickover

I have a clicking / ticking noise on tickover coming from the top of the engine is think (near the injectors) has anyone else experienced this? Thanks in advance.

Petrol or diesel?

Injectors do click as they operate.

If its a diesel..its possibly camchain related..

It almost sounds like a car when you turn it off and you get that cracking noise as things are cooling down.

It's a 1.3 diesel by the way.
