I posted a few days ago about gettin a load of white specs all over my car after going through a car wash, on paint work and the windows.

spent £35 on cleaning stuff and 2 hours+ of elbow grease and they are still there!

I used some autoglym tar remover and autoglym polish resin stuff and some window polish.

Enjoyed cleaning it but was getting late and it started to condensate a little before Id finished which wasnt good.

The car looks very shiny but the specs are still there!

Absolutely gutted.

It doesnt look as shiny in the pics because I took them with my phone.

I had a similar problem, someone splattered paint al over my brava. I used a car shampoo in warm water. Then used a blunt plastic blade to get the stubborn ones off. took ages but it worked, just try not to scratch the paint.

Just tried some methylated spirits on the glass and that didnt budge it.

Heres a close up, this is the worst patch of it on the car, its not all this bad.

That looks like some kind of acid burns, or some kind of hot metal residue.

Can you feel the spots under the fingers or are they just there, flat as the car paint and glass ?

Just been out to see if can feel it with my nail and realised some do actually scratch off with my nail, but only some, others wont budge.

Any suggestions (beside scraping all off with my nails!)?

cheers

Anyone know where I might get a clay bar and some detailer?

Preferably a shop and not of the web?

I did try some bluetack and that got some off!

Ive found a "putty" rubber in an old art box I have would that work similar to the clay bar? Or should I only stick to the proper stuff?

Im just having trouble finding one!

be sure to use a lot of lubricant. if you don't you'll quite easily make your paint worse.

get yourself on here, you may get some flack for using a car wash in the first place mind you ;) they should be able to help :)
