Hey All.
Well after 6 years of owning Christine its time to let the old girl go I got her back in 2012 as a rolling project and drove her as my daily driver right up until July 17, when I took her off the road planning to do a resto on her. Well here we are nearly a year on and I haven't had the time or the money to do the work, so It's time to pass her on to somebody who will give her the love she deserves.
She's not perfect, she has the odd car park ding and the last MOT in Oct 16 advised her rear spring seats were starting to corrode. I already knew her inner CV joints needed rebuilding or replacing hence taking her off the road last summer.
I noticed yesterday that she's also gonna need her outer sills doing and the bottoms of her doors are starting to go. That said she's done a total of 99K miles (almost unheard of for a 1.1 Selecta) and the last 37k of those were done without so much as a miss fire.
She's got a pretty good interior (although not the original) and even after standing un-touched for the last 3 months, she still started on the first turn of the key this morning. All of her electrics work as they should and considering she only had a quick wash yesterday, she still looks quite tidy.
I really think she's to good to go for scrap so hope that one of you will take her on as a project.
I'm not asking anything for her, so if any of you are interested in a free Panda Selecta as a project or would like to see more pictures give me a shout.
I'm on annual leave (stay cation) until 24th June so Ideally I would like to see her go between now and then, but a collection could be arranged for a later date if needed.
