I finally got Juppy on Classic insurance!!!

£80 quid for 1 year with 3000 miles!

(I've had him 3 years and he's only done 6000 so it shouldn't be an issue)

Finally panda 4x4's are classics:woot:

We're limited here in NI Barry. The majority of the UK insurers won't cover NI cars and it's harder to get classic cover on a car that's not accepted as a classic by the combined readership of Practical Classics...

That's because when the English were letting the Irish die during the Potato Famine (despite having huge supplies of grain in barns) the Irish all headed for America and took the place names with them. As you do. :)

I don't think there was too many dying in carrick and Belfast, Larne, Ballymena and Carrickfergus in Maine are all name'd after rich proddy towns....

It was the Ulster rich that went to the US north east, not the Irish poor:p

(how far off topic can we take this? lol)

Yes, but lots of people left the northern counties as a result of the typhus epidemic that arrived as a result of the famine. The population in the 6 counties prior to the famine was almost 1,500,000, after the famine it was a mere few hundred thousand.

This has always puzzled me.... when the potato famine was happening and everyone was starving, why didnt they just eat something else? Apparently we have some distant relations that left Ireland for the USA back then, they must have been rich... bstards never left me nowt!
