first off, I'm annoyed, really annoyed!!
Ok anyone who watched the one show in its entirety would know that he was being light hearted in his comments, but the idiots who complain about his antics should shut the hell up.
there was no more wrong with what he said, to the idiot on the sky news doing the paper reviews with mr holmes claiming that if public sector workers are not happy then we should all find jobs in the private sector.
I'm not a nasty person but I hope the person on sky news remembers his statement on TV when a member of his family needs hospital treatment, and if it is him then the people treating him will recognise him and remember his comments on live TV.
now Clarkson is in more bother with the following statements over railway suicides:
Clarkson said: "I have the deepest sympathy for anyone whose life is so mangled and messed up that they believe death's icy embrace will be better. However, every year around 200 people decide that the best way to go is by hurling themselves in front of a speeding train. In some ways they are right. This method has a 90% success rate and it's extremely quick.
"However, it is a very selfish way to go because the disruption it causes is immense. And think what it's like for the poor train driver who sees you lying on the line and can do absolutely nothing to avoid a collision."
Later in the article the presenter referred to those who choose to jump in front of trains as "Johnny Suicide" and argues that following a death, trains should carry on their journeys as soon as possible.
Now I do not agree with his last comments (obviously) but he has some valid points over the fact that the driver is the one that would be mentally damaged, and it does obviously cause disruption!!
freedom of speech and humour are definately on the way out folks!!
thoughts?
