Re: City Drive question

My God, do people still remember that thread? That was ages ago when we were having a laugh, poking fun at one another's steering and I posted up a Fiat Palio graph to see who would be taken in (no one was - or so I thought:))

No, there's no engine performance difference between City/ normal on a Stilo. City mode simply adds more steering assistance at slower speeds and reduces to normal steering assist as you move faster

I turn mine off now and again when i feel like some exercise but other than that it's been on City for quite a few years now and it ain't done me no harm as they say

And that took you a whole 6 mins to post..Pah..;)

Can't say I've ever really used mine. It's not like the Stilo's power steering is that heavy, even at low speed in my opinion.

The "City" button gives the steering all the feel of a Mazda 626 circa 1997 (one of the scariest cars I've ever had to drive), which I guess can be a good thing if you really find parking a chore.

Switch mine on once a month or so for the day just to keep it "excercised" lol

I dont find its really needed.

it is fabulous for those really quick tight manouvres, like a 3 point turn in the middle of traffic, and parking in teeny weeny little spaces. genious thinking to be honest. If only the assistance was adaptive and decreased assistance with speed, then it would be 100% perfect (y)

 It does! (should) maybe yours is busted?
