I'm sure city mode turns off over 30 in my punto. Never use it mind I think the steering is too light anyway after getting out of my nose heavy Vitesse with its cast iron block and 215 wide tyres. I know of a bloke who crashed a mk1 punto because of city mode. He was caning round a roundabout and a passenger pressed it and because of how hard he was turning it jerked round to full lock and he clipped the roundabout, bounced off it went sideways through some roadsigns. Or so he says.

Surley, electric power steering that has buttons to make it harder/softer is doomed to break?

You could say that about the doors...dont use em to protect em. Get in through the tailgate instead, side doors will never fail

I could do that in my Stilo actually if i hold my finger down on the unlock button, and i could go through the roof as well - how stylish would that look
