About once a year I get away with the OH for a city break. This year it was Paris and I noticed a lot of Fiat 500s. Amidst the Citreons and the Renaults noticed a hugh number of Smarts many of them in the Brabus edition. The Smarts were split between the hard top and the soft top primarly driven by woman. For every 8 F500 noticed a A500 and these were the 'c' version - didn't come across a hard top version. They were in Electroclash grey, and 2 others were bi-colour. Particularly liked the Black & white one :yum:. About half (maybe a third) of the standard 500s were 'c' models. Spotted very few BNW colours but there were a lot of Electroclash grey, Tech house grey (with red soft top roofs), Black, odd red and one Brown colour (which the OH surprisingly liked !). Only saw one 500S but much prefer the look of the A500. Quite a few blokes driving the 500s with red and black being popular in the soft top colour. Compared to the last time that I was in Paris traffic didn't go as fast and there wasn't any honking of horns that was common place in Rome. Got a bird eye's view up the Champs-Elysees run down from the Arc de Triomphe at the entrance to the Louvre and didn't hear any boy racers with throaty exhausts. It all seemed quite civilised. Also managed to get the OH thinking that a A500c might be a good choice and she conceded stating that it would be nice to have both the A500c and a Boxster. At least the bank manager doesn't appear in dreams !
