So guys so far not much has really been done on the car other than acquiring the rear arches to replace the non existent old ones! As you can see the rust is quite extensive at the rear. I am considering dropping the back axle and radius arms in one to clean them up, is this the right way to do it? Or shall I just remove the radius arms? Also the car isn't running fantastic and the annoying tappety noise needs to be sorted, I am replacing the hydraulic tappets anybody know where I can get these from? Also would like to know if anybody could give me a price on replacing both rear arches (already have the panels) and also a fresh coat of paint.
Many thanks, Luke
Have a good day.

There's not really a correct way of doing it. But it's generally easier to get the trailing arms off the car before you drop the rear beam.

With that much rust on the outer wheel arches, I's expect the inners to be in a bad shape. Generally it's better/easier to do the inners before doing the outers.

Tappety noise on a pushrod Cinq is generally tappets.

Thanks for reply, yes the innerspring aren't looking too good either, just the lip where it joins the outer, so may get away with a cut to size piece of steel and have that welded in and smoothed.
