cinquecento question

Hi all,

new here, but not new to Fiat (owned various over the years) - question is, mother has a cinquecento SX, but no user handbook. A red warning light next to the battery one keeps coming on - it looks like a tube spraying something - what does it mean, what do I need to do?

Fuel injection I had suspected - is it a case of buying and fitting a new unit, or is it a specialist job?

Means a diagnostic check. Doesn't specifically mean fuel injectors

For instance mine has been on for weeks and the other day.....my clutch slave cylinder went

Howdy!
You could also try some injector cleaner, Redex or something.

That is an 'injector test' lamp. It should come on every time ignition is turned on and goes out soon after. This indicates that the injectors are fine.
If it comes on and stays on then it could either be that your injectors need cleaning/servicing or else you might have some corrosion in the wire connectors!
